How to clean your Wamee Keyboard and Mouse

Wamee keyboards and mice may be cleaned with most mild, non-abrasive solutions commonly used in the office and  hospital environment including:

  • Water
  • Mild Soap
  • 3% Hydrogen Peroxide solution
  • 10% Clorox Bleach solution
  • 70% Isopropyl Alcohol
  • 91% Isopropyl Alcohol
  • Santi-Care Quaternary Ammonium Germicide
  • PDI Santi-Cloth HB Germicidal Disposable Wipes
  • Windex glass cleaner
  • Lysol disinfectant spray
  • Lysol disinfectant all-purpose cleaner
  • Virex Tb disinfectant cleaner
  • Virex 256 disinfectant cleaner
  • CaviCide disinfectant cleaner
  • Oxivir Tb wipes
  • 100% Ethanol (Ethyl Alcohol)
  • Providone-Iodine Prep Pads
  • Chlor-Clean Wipes

Wamee Keyboard and Mouse Cleaning Guide

Cleaning the device with detergent /disinfectant wipes:

  • RFID KEYBOARD ONLY: Depress the Function button and the F11 [CLEAN] key to lock the keys for cleaning.
  • WASHABLE KEYBOARDS & MICE: Unplug the keyboard.
  • Using the appropriate wipe, clean the entire surface of the keyboard.

Cleaning the device in dishwasher or with water or disinfectant solutions:

  • Unplug the device. To prevent water from damaging the USB connector, securely fix the protective cap in place.
  • DISHWASHER: Place the deviceon the top shelf of a dishwasher and wash on a standard setting. Ensure the heated drying function is turned off, or remove before this starts.
  • WATER: Using warm water and disinfectant products thoroughly wash and rinse the device.
  • Shake the device to dry it.
  • Wipe away excess water with a clean cloth, until the surface is dry. Check there is no excess water around the USB connector and remove cap.
  • Reconnect the device USB to the extension USB provided. WARNING: Do not put a wet cable into the extension or into your computer. Leave to air dry at room temperature. Do not expose to heat.
